Will a lift alone be enough or do I need implants too?

A breast lift positions your breasts higher on your chest, reshapes them and makes them firmer, but it does not add volume. If you’re happy with your current breast size, a lift alone may be all you need. If you’d like more fullness, especially in the upper part of your breasts, that can be achieved by combining implants with your lift.

How long is the downtime after a breast lift?

Dr. Bengtson pioneered a 24-hour Fast-Trak Recovery Program for breast augmentation patients. Our surgeons apply that same commitment to sophisticated surgical techniques and minimal trauma to give our breast lift patients the best experience possible with a quick recovery.

How visible will the scars be?

Any incision in the skin leaves a scar, but our surgeons use advanced techniques to make them less noticeable. Scars also fade significantly over time, and our surgeons are careful to place them in natural breast contours where they are concealed. Most patients find they’re well worth the improvement in shape and lift.

Will I lose nipple sensation?

Changes in nipple sensation may occur after a breast lift, but they are usually temporary. Most women notice sensitivity returns as they heal. In rare cases, permanent change can occur. Your surgeon will discuss your specific risks before surgery.

Can I breastfeed after having a breast lift?

Many patients breastfeed successfully after a lift. However, it cannot be guaranteed. Because a lift repositions tissue and the nipple, there is a chance that milk ducts may be affected. If breastfeeding in the future is important to you, we’ll carefully review your options and create a plan that protects that possibility as much as possible.

Is there a consultation fee?

Yes, there is a $100 consultation fee that goes toward your surgery if you decide to book. It’s a simple way to make sure your first visit counts toward your transformation.
